For over 15 years, Puddle Pics has been capturing smiles, building confidence and creating unforgettable underwater memories for children and families across Australia.

Founded by Joanne Slaughter (Jo), Puddle Pics has grown to become one of Australia’s most recognised and experienced providers of children’s underwater photography for swim schools and their families.

Jo’s success is built on far more than her photography. Her extensive experience in customer service, sales, working with children and creative storytelling allows her to create an experience that is as enjoyable as the photographs themselves. Her warm, caring and fun nature, combined with her genuine ability to connect with children, helps every child feel relaxed, confident and excited in the water, allowing their personalities to shine through in every image.

Driven by her passion for helping children develop confidence in the water, Jo also became a qualified learn-to-swim instructor, teaching babies through to older children. This unique combination of underwater photography and swim teaching gives her a deeper understanding of child development, water confidence and how to create a safe, fun and memorable experience for every family.

Today, Puddle Pics proudly partners with swim schools across Australia and has photographed more than 100,000 smiling faces.

How It Works

To create a smoother experience for families and swim schools, Puddle Pics now operates photo shoots from Friday to Sunday only with set session times:

Friday
9:00am–12:00pm and 3:30pm–6:30pm

Saturday & Sunday
8:00am–12:00pm

We’ve also introduced a new online booking system to make the process easier for everyone.
